Bhooli bisri batain
There are many things in life which do not have any impact but they are never forgotten.
Saza wa Jaza I was in class IV in Louisa Souls School, Aligarh UP India and my class teacher who was English teacher as well, sometimes takes her class in sunshine( Lawn) during winter. I and one girl Razia was mostly honored to hold her hands while she was seated on chair. The feeling and honor of this chance was like we are on throne.
Once Amman was going to Numaish at 8 pm (Aligarh annual exhibtions), I was also willing to accomny her while I was studying (I was in Class three), Dadey slapped me and insisted to read your lesson first. I did it with tears then dadey had taken me to numaish with amman and given some special treat .
In those days one night I was insisting for something before sleep and Amman got angry and remarked haramzada ( I was not aware what does it mean) but I replied Aap Haramzadi. Dadey (Amman's husband) got up and slapped (six to eight) on my cheaks with full force and was sent out side to sleep with Razi Bhai( cousin studying in BA in Aligarh University). I cried with tears for hours as it was a new thing and very painful. I still take it as fearsome-dream. But I could not figured out until today whether a child was at fault for this punishment I did not salute Dadey & Amman in morning and did not talk to them, until Amman tried to convince me and I lodged my protest for being beaten so cruelly, Things were patched-up and I submit my apology to dadey in the evening and in return I was awarded with gift and nice things but I suffered with fever lasted for long time whether it was the consequence of this event or some viral but later it was found as severe condition of Typhoid fever.
In Aligarh once I had infection in ankle due to mansoon rain which caused nasoor (deep roots of infection). Dadey used to take me to Surgeon Lekhraj Singh Private clinic at Lekhraj Singh road miles away from our home at Banna Devi, for dressing and treatment for months One day the wound was cleaned with steel equipment, black blood and some white particle small worm type came out and then it was treated (burned) with some acid, which later healed. The nurse was an anglo-Indian
a bautiful young lady, gentle and soft spoken. She used to go daily on a lady cycle

There is not any single day of life when someone is not obliging another one and a long list of people whose favors and obligations in the life's journey are like Gems & Jewels which do made life more valuable for self and others as well. Neither listing of all of them is possible nor numbering is a easy task However it is mere try to record and describe them in numerical order one by one, names appearing therein are one way or other, had an obligation or lot of favors on me.
ALLAH subhan-altallah is the most merciful that I was born in a Syed Shia family and in the lap of one of the most decent parents and had surrounding of very caring brothers sisters aunties uncles and grand parents and many other relatives. My birth date is 30th September 1941 and birth place is Partapgarh a district near District Allahbad , situated in east of UP India .
PARENTS both belong to a respected noble family of Bilgram, District Hardoi, UP, India.
Father Syed Farrukh Hasan Bilgrami (born in September 1903) was a Commercial photgrapher later joined as Mukhtar- kar (Attorney ) at Courts of Wards a department of British Goverment in India to look after estate affairs of a deceased Raja, Nawab, Land Lord whose next of Kins were not grown up to take care of estate's routine matters. My grand-father(Syed Faiz Hasan Bilgrami) was sub-registrar and died early in the child hood of my father (perhaps 1914). My grand mother (Ummeed Fatima) was very graceful, beautiful, strong lady of her times and she had taken care of her sons (Maqbool, Farrukh, Irtiza) daughters (Mannat,Ummat,Azmat,zaibun) after death of her husband. My mother has seen her alive ( until 1939 or so).
Mother Syeda Aasiya (Abida) Begum was daughter of Syed Mohammad Muslim Bilgrami who was Rayes (Land Lord) of Itoara buzurg ,presently district Mahoba (earlier district Hamirpur near Jhansi in south of UP India). The agriculture land still exist and my cousin Hasan Imam (son of mamoon) is taking careof it .

Under these circumstances my aunt proposed for the wedlock of my mother and father and it was found best in the situation prevailing and good for all.
Brothers one Bhaijan Syed Akbar Mehdi (alia Masroor Hasan) Bilgrami was born on 22 August 1936 (meri yad main 20 Aug.) and elder than me for five years. We could not live together due to various circumstances but the tenure of together is undoubtedly full of brotherhood.
His sacrifices for the family is unlimited and it is his support (Allah ki rahmat ke saath saath) that rest of family members could find ways to live in an honorable positions.He has to break his education and started working at Hardoi (office jobs) with a Printing Press for 15 days(remuneration of which was given in shape of shirt cloth) - I do remember its design) , then petrol pump for few months then Zimidari Abolishen department for few years, then moved to Karachi, Pakistan in June 1958(on the encouragement of one cousin Rafique Fatima urf Raffe- phuphijan Mannat Fatime ki beti ) where he joined Premiere Insurance as cashier, later joined Bank of America and so on well known as Banker and served on Key posts. BCCI, Schon Bank, Gulf Leasing and many more financial institution.are among list.

Engagement of companion for life partnership (IMAM ZAAMIN)

It was April 1965 when we were living in 1567/2, Joharabad (Federal B Area) Karachi. I and Maddan were gossiping when Farrukh Fatima Jafri (Nickname Phakko) came from Paposhnagar for her vessels kept with us, She was not observing purdah except from me and bhai'jan . I was interested in one iron net belonging to them and was lying with us for several years. I asked Amman and paid an advance of Rs.5 and difference shall be paid later if any, and Diary of Bank of America is also given for her father.
In the meantime I told Maddan that Baji amman used to say good words about this girl and she is good match for someone interested. His remarks were why don't you select for you. I said first of all Bhaijan's marriage is not finalised and I am not Settled yet. He said Just choose and reserve and other matters can be deferred. These words were so appealing to me that soon she left I went to Amman and asked her to talk about our match.
Amman told me you are naughty and used to talk not seriously, and if you agree to marry then I can talk. I immediately said no marriage or nikkah before Bhaijan's marriage however engagement is possible if yes from them within a week time other wise no from my side.
Like wise Amman agreed and next day Amman and Akhter went with sweet box and my visiting card and details on back. An inquiry was made from my boss Abbas Hashmi of NSC by some one from her family. Within week it was agreed and the date of 25 April 1965 ( 22 zilhijj ) was agreed for Imam zamin.
From our side Amman Babu Bhaijan Akhtar Baaji Zeenat Choti baaji Suriya phupo, Shama unofficially nominated as Bhabhi jan and one wife of W Hussein as desired by DADi. Haider Nawab and Aftab. I had managed an official car Fiat and others taxis to travel from Fb area to PIB colony . Two tokras of laddo (One was not taken out from the Car) and choriyan, ring, dupatta, Imam zamin was sent together.

December in my life
Each month has own significance on mankind, environment, seasons; similarly in my life each month do have some special counting which is very important part or left a special touch.
December is the last month of the year but there are many new opening and is a first thing or start of my life.
December 3, 1969 our daughter Zenab Bilgrami was born at NOOR Hospital, Karachi. It was about 9 pm of 2nd December (22nd Ramzan) when Jeem (my wife) told me about labor and we walked (20 minutes) to Hospital. We were living in our new home 1029/ 19 Of Alnoor society Karachi near power house.
Jeem asked me about 11 pm to better inform Ammi (jeem's mother).

Moharrum ( Zikre Ahlebait / Farsh-e-Aza / Juloos & I
It is difficult to recall all memorie here at one time but whatsoever is presently in my mind, it is here for reference.
In Rai Bareley I do remember reciting of Noha in juloos by brother of chachi amman wife of Manjhoo Chcacha (Syed Saidul Hussain Bilgrami(perhaps Shabbar bhai (from Alahabad) about 12 years of his age 1946). I do remenber Juloos of Tazia in Aligarh (Moharrum 1949 Perhaps) I have never seen that much high Tazia anywhere else. I did not attended any Majlis by then. In 1952 we moved to Hardoi where we had this opportunity to attend majalis held in Police Lines and releys of shame garibaan from Lucknow at the house of Vakil Ibne. Attended Juloos and Namaz on yum e Ashore. I also recited noha and taken out Alam in Baagh, Bajiamman (mother) was reciting nohas and were having Bayaz. 21st Ramzan Taboot ALI (AS) mannati was taken by bajiamman and I have alway participated in it. I had chance to visit Bilgram 7th Moharrum and attended juloos Majalis. Also attended manati Taboot on 9th Zilhajj by Daday Syed Jaffar Hussain Bilgrami in Bilgram. Great Moharrum was attended at Lucknow when Bhaijan was also there in 1955/6. Juloos aur Majalis were attended.
Moved to Karachi 1959 and Majalis and Juloos were regular and I attend majalis and juloos.From 1st to 9th Moharrum most of the time I was attending four Majalis daily after office hours 1960 to 1964 and was taking 9th Moharrum leave. 1964-67 Main majalis at Patel Park and Khurasan and other places were attended. However Juloos was gradually shortened gradually.1969 onward a salana Majlis Aza for ladies is regularly being held at our residence . However majalis on 10th moharrum, Chehlum and 9th Rabbiawwal eid was being held at our residence for male and female both while we were in Saudi Arabia 1982 to 1992. Once there were about 250 persons but never less than 100.

Businesses & I
It is long time of my child hood when I dreamed for a successful businessman. To make this dream true I have chosen 'commerce' in metric starting from 9th.
1953 Very first time I had a chance to buy Fire Work in shabbaraat and sold it, like-wise I got back my money as well as all of us enjoyed the fun at home free of cost.
My this drive was continued and I worked to sale Life Insurance Policies and I won the prize, title of month. But I could not continue it for a long and all my achievement were transferred to One Waris Ali Khan Orgniser EFU.
I started small grocery and general merchant shop at home and successfully run it but having some personal problems I have given it to Dr.. Jafri Homeopathic at Dastgeer Society Karachi.
Stitching clothes (BB London) on contract basis was not beneficial at all
I have once again started BP sweet distributor & Philips Electric Dealer ship and it was very good but again failed to achieve better results.
I have participated in mail order dealership in Saudi Arabia from USA. But could not make much entries.
I had a chance but refused it after consulting wifeabout some thing not allowed in Islam.
I had a big opportunity to start proper business and did many efforts and was of this opinion to be a successful in super market , whole sale fruit and vegetable imports, sponsorship, etc, but all got in vain
1993 Day care was started in Karachi but winded up due to various reasons.
